The Honey Bee Society

Our partnerships with schools and the community provide unparalleled fact based education, bridging the gap between pollinators and people. Through immersive talks, hive exploration and community engagement, we seek to restore a balanced population of pollinators by providing safe ecosystems and informed populations.

The Honey Bee Society (THBS) was bred out of a life long passion for beekeeping and an interest in the role all pollinators play in our society and environment. THBS educates and advocates for the honey bee and its wild pollinator friends through immersive talks, beehive mentorships, breeding locally adapted bees and an increased focus on bringing scientific data gathering into the hive through our innovative Beehive Monitor program.

THBS partners with organizations to maximize the impact of providing the education and experience necessary to enact change in the next generation. Through our adaptive approach to education and research, we continue to increase the public's awareness by providing any opportunity for all ages to learn about the life saving benefits pollinators provide. Our current regional focus is in the Pacific Northwest - yet our core program principles may be replicated across the world to bolster local pollinator populations!

The Honey Bee Society is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit with the United States IRS. All donations are deemed tax-deductible absent any limitations on educability applicable to a particular taxpayer.
